Go Bananas on Bananas! (August 2020) – Dr. Sebi's Cell Food

Pregnancy can be an exciting time IN YOUR LIFE, and it's also a great opportunity to get your nutrition in check if you haven't already done it. All fruits and vegetables (those approved by Dr. Sebi's Nutritional Guide, of course) provide pregnant women with the essential nutrients and vitamins necessary to maintain their optimal health and support the baby's growth, but bananas (burro bananas, that is), are especially great in those 9 months of a woman's life. We'll tell you why:

They help relieve nausea and vomiting: Burro bananas are chock-full of nutrients that can help soothe the stomach and relieve morning sickness during the first trimester of pregnancy.

They help reduce water retention: Edema, or water retention, is a common symptom during the second and third trimester, causing swelling of the ankles and feet, and general discomfort. Reducing salty foods and including them in your diet can help immensely.

They prevent birth defects: Bananas are a great source of folate, which is necessary for the development of the baby's brain and spinal cord. A healthy diet that includes bananas, can help prevent birth defects originated by a folate deficiency.

They help maintain a healthy blood pressure: Potassium is an essential mineral that helps control blood pressure in the human body, and bananas are a terrific source of it, so eat up!

They aid in digestion: As we mentioned before, bananas can soothe the stomach, but they are also a good source of fiber so they can relieve constipation, and they also prevent heartburn and acidity in pregnant women.
