Winter Detox Salad - Dr. Sebi's Cell Food

This Winter Detox Salad is the perfect mix between refreshing and comforting, ideal to feel lighter after the holidays!

Ingredients:

Salad

  • 2 cups chopped butternut squash
  • 2 cups lettuce (any kind except iceberg)
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon grapeseed oil
  • Sea salt and cayenne pepper, to taste

Dressing

  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup key lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon agave syrup
  • Sea salt and cayenne pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Place your squash pieces on a baking tray, add a little grapeseed oil, and toss together with some sea salt and cayenne pepper until every piece is coated.
  2. Roast for 25-30 mins at 350°F until golden and tender when pierced with the tip of a sharp knife.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the dressing ingredients.
  4. Place all the salad ingredients in a large bowl and coat with dressing. Let the flavors marinate for at least 20 minutes before eating.
