The toxins that are affecting your health (April 2022) - Dr. Sebi's Cell Food

Last updated

Our world has never been more polluted with toxins; they seep into our water supplies, our food, the air we breathe, and even our personal products, receipts, and cookware. Understanding how to detoxify can help reduce harm and improve our overall well-being.

Our bodies are capable of incredible feats. They work tirelessly around the clock to keep us healthy, alive, and safe. The human body is able to naturally detox by eliminating waste. We often associate the liver with being responsible for waste elimination, but other organs are also involved in the detoxification process. The kidneys, colon, lungs, and even your skin are the body’s natural detoxification filters. Your body can do a lot, but it often needs your help to cleanse the toxins that are inevitably introduced into your system on a daily basis.

Follow a few simple detox tips to aid your body and support the digestive system.

Limit Exposure to Toxins

We can make better health choices every day by implementing easy, meaningful changes. Limiting exposure to toxins may sound like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be.

Here’s a simple one: trade your plastic water bottle for a glass one to avoid the harmful effects of the chemical BPA. This simple upgrade can not only help you reduce your toxin intake, it is also an environmentally conscious choice. Avoiding plastic drinkware, food containers, flatware, utensils, and microwavable containers can go a long way in limiting your exposure to toxic chemicals and microplastics.

Investing in an air purifier is an excellent option to clear dust, mold, and other indoor air pollution. Even if you don’t live in a heavily populated city like New York, air pollution is ever-present in our neighborhoods and inside our homes.

Consider installing a filter in your shower and bathroom sink. Exposing your skin and mouth to unfiltered water while bathing, brushing your teeth, or washing your face is an often overlooked way we absorb toxins.

You can also try switching to natural cleaning products for less harmful chemical exposure at home. As the concern over daily toxicity rises, products with clean ingredients are becoming more commonplace and accessible. Supermarkets, pharmacies, and discount stores are making an effort to stock cleaner household products.

Go Organic

Head to the organic aisle at your local grocery store when you can. Eating non-GMO, pesticide- and herbicide-free foods means your fruits and vegetables are fresher, safer, and often more nutritious. Ingesting non-organic foods leaves the body exposed to harmful chemicals that create further damage and increase the risk of disease and premature aging.

They may have a shorter shelf life, but you’ll have peace of mind knowing they’re free of preservatives and additives.

Organic Farms Help the Environment

Organic farms use environmentally friendly practices like using less water and energy, reducing soil erosion, and increasing soil fertility. In addition, local communities and nearby wildlife will benefit from being close to the farms. Shopping at your local farmer’s market or at a local farm directly is a great way to buy organic produce while supporting small businesses. Without plastic packaging, additives, hormones, and preservatives, fresh and organic products straight from a local farm provide greater benefits to the body and even taste better.

Talk With Your Local Leaders

Talk to your representatives about the importance of creating a comprehensive plan to address the problem and support local legislation that offers solutions. Without community and state-wide changes, we risk continual exposure to harmful toxins on a daily basis.

Detoxing will free you from dependence on highly processed foods, sugar, and other harmful ingredients. It can aid in weight loss, raise energy levels, strengthen your immune system, improve your sleep, and stabilize your mood. By making a conscious effort to detox, you are taking a powerful step toward a healthier, stronger body.
